Although Sedgefield may be best known for its racecourse, it is a pretty and prosperous-looking village with handsome houses clustered around the green.
If you weren’t aware Sedgefield is also Tony Blair’s constituency, and Joey’s old stomping ground from when he was a nipper. The table the fellas are sitting around is actually the same one where our past Prime Minister and his wife Cherie took George and Laura Bush to lunch in 2003 when the President graced Blair’s constituency with a visit.
Like Blair on Iraq, the guys followed where Bush led and also ordered fish, chips and mushy peas. As I said "this is as political as we get!"
