Licence Entitlements...


All Learners require a Provisional Licence

Age 16 Years

This entitles you to ride a 49cc moped (category P) with a design speed of 30mph, displaying L-plates. CBT certificate is required.


Age 17 Years and Over

This entitles you to ride a motorcycle not exceeding 125cc, displaying L-Plates, providing you have provisional category A entitlement. CBT certificate is required.


Full Car Licence Holder

This entitles you to ride a motorcycle not exceeding 125cc, displaying L-Plates, providing you validate provisional category A with a CBT certificate. This also allows full moped entitlement (category P) although anyone obtaining a licence on or after 01/02/01 must validate with a CBT certificate.
