Eddie is Heather's brother, and is probably responsible for her love of motorcycling. One of Heather’s earliest memories is of being pillion on Eddie’s Honda 250cc SuperDream in the early 1970s, his idea of babysitting his little sister was taking her to Selby via the A63 to see his latest girlfriend! As the old SuperDreams were notoriously difficult to ‘corner’, Heather unwittingly learnt the principals of counter-steering and weight transfer at a very early age!
In his forty years of motorcycling Eddie has ridden dozens of different types of machine, gaining invaluable experience along the way, he rode and toured with the Class One motorcycle group for many years, and has certainly come a long way from the memories Heather has of him on his first Honda 90.
Although Eddie's full-time job keeps him in Ireland during the week, his love of motorcycling means he is more than happy to work for Smart on a weekend.
Of course, the really useful thing about having such a fantastic and skilled brother is the company can always rely on him to cover instructor absence should the need arise. Yes Ed I know you'll read this!
